GRANTS FOR SCHOOL COUNSELORS
One of the issues that many professional school counselors, and schools in general, come across is a lack of funding for all of the needs of the students. Schools often receive a limited amount of funding that goes to many areas of the school, most of which does not include the school counseling program. To develop a successful school counseling program, professional school counselors must develop programs and materials that do not necessarily come cheap. This means that the professional school counselor must advocate for the school counseling program and find ways to obtain funding. One of the ways to receive funding for one's school counseling program is to look for grants to fund the program. There are many websites that provide legitimate grants for professional school counselors.
Listed below are some of the websites with grants that school counselors can use.

It is important to understand how to write a grant proposal as well. During graduate school, we created a sample grant proposal with information from a different school. This is how a person should begin to develop a grant proposal. However, this example does not include the necessary research involved with a grant proposal.
